Sprouts Educators provide a range of learning experiences and play equipment in homes but also have the flexibility to utilise opportunities in the local community to further extend the children in their care.
Sprouts In-Home Childcare Coordinators in Manawatu and Horowhenua
Heather Berge - Regional Manager
Hi my name is Heather and I am a qualified Early Childhood teacher with a Bachelor of Teaching 0-8 years. I am married with two teenage children and have worked in the early childhood sector since 2005.
I believe in-home childcare is the best way for pre-schoolers to enter into life-long learning. The benefits of in-home childcare includes the low ratio of child to educator, resulting in more one-on-one interactions. Children also have the opportunity to attend larger group activities through Sprouts run music, play group and gym sessions. In-home childcare provides the opportunity for children to form solid and loving connections with their educators, that will last for years to come.
Therese Trail, Coordinator
I have been involved in ECE since 1995. I have a BEd and taught in kindergarten for most of this time. I have also lectured in ECE and am now loving being a coordinator in the Home Based Care sector. I enjoy sharing musical experiences with the children.
I believe that in-home childcare is a great option for parents as it provides a family atmosphere. Educators are able to provide different learning opportunities to better meet the individual needs of the children, due to their ability to visit a range of places.
I love visiting the children and watching them develop into competent and confident young people.
Sprouts In-Home Childcare Administration Staff in Manawatu and Horowhenua
I work with the administration team at Sprouts. Currently I am looking after the paperwork and payments for the Hawke's Bay Educators and Families. I also deal with the accounts administration for Sprouts. It is a very varied role with lots of paper but with the added bonus of dealing with parents and educators.
My name is Fiona Marshall and I am an Administrator with Sprouts In-home Childcare. I have worked at Scallywaggs/Sprouts for 20 years in a variety of roles and love my current position in which I can still be involved with children. I am married to Roger and have a 12 yr old son called Andrew. My hobbies are reading, travelling/exploring new places and photography.
