There are an endless number of ideas for indoor activities to occupy little minds on a rainy day. Some easy ones include playing dress ups, building a fort, having a tea party or building a Lego town. Here are some of our favourites below:

Here is a super simple recipe that will take 5 minutes to make. Be sure to wear dis´╗┐´╗┐posable gloves to avoid getting food colouring on your hands.

You will need: 2 cups flour, 1/2 cup salt, 2 tablespoons cooking oil, 2 tablespoons cream of tartar, 2 cups boiling water, 1 teaspoon food colouring.
Instructions: Mix all dry ingredients, add oil and boiling water (With the food colouring mixed in prior) mix well.

Shaving Cream Painting

This is another great indoor activity for little artists.

You will need: A tray, Shaving cream, A skewer, Cardboard Paint in a variety of colours

Fill the tray with shaving cream and flatten it the best you can. Distribute the paint in blobs in the foam. Use the skewer to create amazing swirls and patterns with the paint in the foam. Place the cardboard over the foam and leave it for a few minutes. Gently wipe the shaving foam off the cardboard to reveal the stunning artwork.

A Toy Box Car
