Protecting your little Sprouts from the sun in the hotter months is an important part of summer! They love to get outside and explore with water play and other adventurous outdoor activities within the comfort of your own home, which is why it's so important to have them protected. Here are some great ideas for sun shelters to protect the little ones:

Sun Umbrellas: These are an easy, portable shade option. They’re easy to move about and angle to the sun’s position at any given time of day. You can place it over the sandpit then move it to the paddling pool as the day goes on.

Shade Sails: These are perfect for larger areas if you have a big back yard. They are a flexible option because you can put them up in summer and take them down over winter. Their distinctive shape makes a terrific design feature. Plus, they’re easy to install and tailor to suit the size of your space.

Gazebos: You can create some shelter anywhere you want in your backyard with a gazebo. They come in a range of styles and designs. You can choose one to suit your space then take it done when the weather turns! Portable Gazebos are ideal for a day at the beach or the park.

Beach tent: Yes these are great for the beach, but they can also be used in the back yard, especially if you have a tiny sprout who is not yet on the move, its perfect shade for the littlest sprouts!

And of course, the most obvious solution for shade is trees! These are the perfect natural shade, put a picnic blanket down and bring out the toys! They can explore nature while they play. You can go to a sheltered park and explore...the possibilities are endless.

Our Sprouts carers always ensure the children are safe while outside in the summer sun. Shaded areas, sunblock, hats, and drinking water are always on hand while the little ones are outside learning and exploring!
