At Sprouts In-Home Childcare, we have put together a list of some of our favorite creative and kid-friendly Autumn craft ideas that celebrate all that this beautiful and fun season has to offer.
1. Ombre Pinecone:
The Ombre Pinecone is great for children of all ages and skill levels. Just by painting the tips of pinecones in different shades of the same colour, the end result is beautiful and can be used to decorate your home all year round.
1. Take your toothbrush and clean off any dirt or bugs (recommend doing this step outdoor).
2. Take your paint brush and apply the first shade on to 1/4 of the pinecone (recommend starting with the darkest shade at the bottom of the pinecone and working your way up).
3. Continue painting the next shade to the next 1/4 of the pinecone.
4. Repeat step 3 with the rest of the shades until you reach the top.

2. Paper Leaf Garland:
For older kids, making a Paper Leaf Garland could be a great idea. Using scissors to cut out cookie-cutter-like outlines and running string between the designs is all it takes for you and your children to create a great autumn decoration for your home.
3. Pom Pom Pumpkins:
Another great DIY home decoration activity for you and your kids is Pom Pom Pumpkins. These colorful yarn Pumpkins will last much longer than one season and will look great on your desk or mantlepiece!
4. Felted Autumn Wreath:
By gluing a bunch of felted balls or pom-poms in a circular shape the end result is instant door decor! Choose fall colors that'll pop against your door, such as red, orange, and yellow.
Simply glue the felt balls onto your foam wreath to make your own felted wreath!
